Diesel Particulate Filter Pressure Sensor Circuit

Emissions system

A fault in the DPF differential-pressure sensor circuit. That sensor is how the truck measures soot load, so a bad signal disrupts regen decisions.

Worth diagnosing soon — left alone, the underlying issue can grow into a bigger, costlier problem.

Common symptoms

  • DPF/check-engine light
  • Regen issues
  • Possible derate

Common causes

  • Failed DPF pressure sensor
  • Clogged sensor hoses
  • Wiring/connector fault

How it's diagnosed & fixed

  • Inspect and clear the sensor pressure lines
  • Check the circuit wiring
  • Replace the pressure sensor
